Two professors in the Department of Africana Studies were recently honored by the University of Delaware's women's basketball team as faculty who have made a positive impact in the classroom on the team's student-athletes. Monica Coleman, professor and the John and Patricia Cochran Scholar of Inclusive Excellence, and Kathryn Benjamin Golden, assistant professor, were recognized for their teaching, support, and dedication to student-athletes as part of the UD Athletics' Most Valuable Professor initiative. More than 25 other faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences received the distinction for the fall semester and winter session.
